Russell Westbrook Triple Double MadMan & Top MVP Candidate 2016-2017 NBA Season

There's no doubt that Russell Westbrook is the reason why the Oklahoma City Thunder is currently sixth seed in the NBA's Western Conference Standings.

Even after losing a huge asset like Kevin Durant, Westbrook still manages to find ways to put up triple-doubles. Westbrook is the first player since Oscar Robertson to average a triple-double in a single season. Robertson put up a whopping 41 triple doubles averaging 30.8 pts, 12.5 rebounds and 11.4 assists in a single season back in the 1961-1962 NBA Season and has held this record since! This is great history in the making, if Russell can break this record this season, imagine how long he will hold on to it. He might be the only one who can break it again.

I know MVP's are always associated with winning and standings are always taken into consideration when discussing MVP candidates, but one has to admire the amount of hustle and willingness to win Russell Westbrook brings to his team. From his defense to his ability to drive to the hoop whether it's to finish strong or finding the right open man, Russell Westbrook always performs at maximum level and highly enhances his team's overall performance.

Who do you think is the Real MVP? Comment Below.
